Tracing Buffalo News is about discovering a fair and unbiased view of Big Wyoming.

The media has been out of control in recent years, and I don’t feel that everyday people are getting an unbiased view of what is happening in our communities and nation.   So I created Tracing Buffalo News to bring that honesty back, and if there is one place that deserves it, it is the great state of Wyoming.

A bit about me.

Born and raised in Southern California, I finally have been able to return to the state I discovered and fell in love with as a kid, Wyoming.  When I was younger, my parent would take my two younger siblings and me on road trips to all the great national parks this country offers.  We would drive, trailer in tow, all over the pacific northwest to discover the natural beauties of this great land.

One summer, we made it to Yellowstone National Park, where I was drawn in by the power of its geysers, the rush of its falls, and the warmth of its hot springs. I knew I was in God’s country, and I would return.  We stopped at a local rodeo, where I was introduced to Wyoming’s great and kind people who made us all feel welcomed and a part of the community; this is someplace special, I thought.

I earned degrees in Journalism and Administration of Justice and wrote for Cal State Fullerton’s Daily Titan Newspaper and Tusk Magazine.   After that, I spent some time as a freelance writer writing for Hot Bike and Custom Chopper motorcycle magazines.  Then, I stepped away from writing and got into private investigations.  I have over 15 years of experience in investigations, threat assessments, cybersecurity and online privacy protection.  I also like to lecture on the basics of personal cybersecurity and internet investigations.  I am the owner of Investigative Intel Associates, a private investigations firm specializing in opposition research and open-source intelligence gathering.

My career took me in a different direction, and I am now back in Wyoming to rediscover my flame for writing and my love for Wyoming.

I look forward to the journey of getting to know Wyoming and all of you; if you see me around town, say hi, and let’s chat.
