The FBI is now targeting CCW permit holders, one more step in backing the Biden anti-gun agenda.  Next month, the FBI plans to visit Missouri county sheriff’s offices to “audit” Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) permit holder records.  The Attorney General for Missouri, Eric Schmitt, sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray stating that giving the FBI access to confidential lists violates Missouri law and infringes on Missourians’ Second Amendment rights.  Here is a link to AG Schmitt’s letter to the FBI.

The FBI released a statement in response to AG Schmitt’s letter on social media, claiming that their audit is routine and that Missouri participated in it as recently as 2018.  The strange thing is what happened last month in California.  The CA Firearms Dashboard Portal had a data breach exposing over 200,000 CCW permit holders’ and applicants’ names, ages, addresses, Criminal Identification Index (CII) numbers and license types (Standard, Judicial, Reserve and Custodial).  Read about the breach here.  We all know that CA leads the country in anti-gun legislation, and now the FBI is “auditing” other states’ CCW records.  Once again, law-abiding citizens get the short end of the stick when we put politicians in charge with no concept of gun safety and culture.

My background is in private investigations.  I have done a lot of work related to politics and how politicians operate, so I am familiar with the dark tactics government organizations, and politicians will use to push forward their agenda.  When I first learned about the CCW data breach in CA, I spoke with a long-time colleague from the intelligence community, and his first response was, “it probably was the FBI.” There is no proof to substantiate this claim, but as we have seen in the past, the anti-gun mob will go to any extreme to eliminate our Second Amendment rights.

So, what can we look forward to here in Wyoming when big brother comes knocking on our door demanding access to records that it has no right to have.  We have a big decision coming up in August, and it is essential to understand that who we send to Congress will be our first defense regarding protecting our Second Amendment rights.

I reached out to all the Republican candidates running for Congress and asked them what they thought about the FBI and Bidens’ anti-gun tactics.  I also asked what they would do to prevent government organizations from targeting the law0abiding gun owners of Wyoming.

Senator Anthony Bouchard said, “the so-called Fix NICS legislation would allow mental health record tracing.  But, as in most of these statutes created by similar legislation, there were no limits stopping just what information is shared with the feds, and in other states, they shared data on permit holders.  This is exactly why I opposed Fix NICS legislation.”

The Fix NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System) Act of 2017 penalizes government agencies for not reporting prohibiting mental health and disqualifying records to NICS.  Here is a summary of the act.

At the time of this publication, Tracing Buffalo News has not received a comment from the other candidates running for Congress.  However, the article will be updated when and if they respond.
